Samuel Trenquier is a Belgian artist born in 1983 in Libreville, Gabon. A graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts in Marseille, he was among the artists selected in 2015 for the second edition of the Révélations Emerige. At the intersection of sculpture, textile, and drawing, his compositions oscillate between abstraction and figuration, depicting a lush flora in a hallucinatory profusion of lines and colors.
His drawings were presented at Drawing Now in 2024 and appear in journals and books such as Dessin dans l’art contemporain, published by Pyramyd. Samuel Trenquier also created the poster for Nuit Blanche in 2018.
