The work fuses the sounds of waves, the port, ship horns, and footsteps on pebbles, creating a perpetually evolving composition. Each day of the season, the variations of the tides influence the intensity, texture, and tonality of the sounds, offering a unique sensory experience with each listening. Inviting spectators to experience of Le Marégraphe from the 17th floor of the City Hall tower, the artist proposes a dual immersion. A breathtaking 360° view of the city echoes the musical fluctuations of the marine rhythm, highlighting the fragile balance between nature and industry, port and sea, living music and moving landscape.
Visit of the work only by reservation
Méline Grellier’s participation in Un Été Au Havre takes place within the framework of a partnership between the event and the Art option with a specialisation in Environments and Public Situations at ésadhar. Since 2019, volunteer students have participated in a call for projects with the artistic director of the event, during which they propose a work for the season.
