Isabelle Cornaro studied art history at the Louvre School, specialising in international mannerism (graduating in 1997). She then joined the Paris Higher National School of Arts, from which she graduated in 2002. After a stay in Berlin, she carried out a residency at the Palais de Tokyo (2005–2006). Her first personal exhibitions were held at the Looking Glass Gallery (Brussels) in 2002, then at Sparwasser HQ (Singapore), as well as the Substation Gallery (Singapore), in 2003. After a residency at the International Studio & Curatorial Program (New York) in 2009, Isabelle Cornaro received the Ricard Corporate Foundation Award in 2010. Her work, presented in the permanent collections of the Centre Pompidou, has formed the subject of exhibitions around the world.
