Born in 1993 in Montpellier, Gaspard Combes is a Franco-Swiss artist who studied spatial and interior architecture design at the École Supérieure des Métiers Artistiques (ESMA) in Montpellier, before graduating from the Fine Arts program at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. His work consists of sculptures, mainly presented in public spaces and conceived for their specific environments. Inspired in particular by geology, his projects play on the ambiguity between real and artificial, creating a dialogue between the natural and the man-made, the archaic and the contemporary world.
