Craig Barnes is a British artist with a keen interest on how to apprehend and occupy living spaces. He first saw an example of Futuro House at the age of three while on holiday in South Africa. In 2013, he eventually managed to buy it from its owner, thus realising his childhood dream. After major restoration works, it was transported to England to be open to the public through a project entitled The Centre for Remote Possibilities : during the time of the Revolver II exhibition held at Matt's Gallery, Matti Suuronen's creation was installed on the roof of the gallery and was used to host a series of performances and debates.

The Futuro House has now resumed its original function as a transportable building. It can be seen all over the world as part of artistic projects. There is no doubt that this installation will generate new perspectives for years to come, thanks to Craig Barnes's welcome initiative.
