TEMPORARY WORK OF ART

After Les Passagers du Son (1) at the Port Centre in 2017, Charlotte Roux, Antoine Auger and Anne Kropotkine are staging their new sensory exploration at Town Hall. They have created an audio journey so the audience can (re)discover the spaces and treasures of the building designed by Auguste Perret. A series of spatial sound equipment will guide Passengers from the Hall of Honour to the Reception Hall Gallery and through the City Council Chamber. The tour is based on 4 elements:
- Air in the Hall of Honour, with a soundtrack dedicated to the wind and air.
- Earth, in a composition that resounds the minerality of the building and the passing of time, between the statue of French King Francis I, the chandelier of the Grand Staircase and the Reception Hall Gallery.
- Fire and Water in the City Council Chamber, with an original musical orchestration of Jean Lurçat’s tapestry, which was designed in 1958.

This exhibition is made possible by the sponsorship of the Jean and Simone Lurçat Foundation.
