Discovery tour: Waterside

The dike bears the name of the shipyards that stood since 1816 on the site of the Residence of France. Directed by Jacques Augustin Normand, engineer and shipbuilder, these shipyards saw the birth of merchant ships as well as larger and larger naval vessels, and animated the Perrey district with an intense construction activity for nearly 150 years.
